“Sweetheart, what are you doing, standing beside the dustbin?” His voice startled her when she lifted her hand to dump the crushed newspaper into the dustbin. She’s standing facing her back to him. She clenched the newspaper, crushing it more, not understanding how to lie to him.
“I can’t tell him about the news. If he comes to know, he will lose his mind.” She murmured to herself and turned around, hiding the paper behind her back and she gave him a tight-lipped smile.
“Sana, what are you hiding? Tell me.” He asked as her facial expression is vividly telling him that there is something wrong.
She shook her head. “Nothing, baby.” She said, throwing the paper into the dustbin sneakily.
He noticed this and became more suspicious.
“Look there is nothing, baby.” She showed him her empty hands. He swayed his eyes from her to dustbin warily.
Her brows frowned in worry when Sidharth bent down and started checking the dustbin.
“Sidharth, what are you doing? There is nothing in it. It’s dirty, get up.” She tried to make him stand up but he ignored her.
He stood up when he lost to find anything in the dustbin. She sighed with relief.
“I told you there is nothing in it. You never listen to me.” She said, trying to act normal.
He placed his hand on her face. “Sweetheart, you can’t lie to me. I know you more than you know yourself. Your face is vividly telling me that you’re hiding something from me. Tell me, bacha, what is it?” He asked her, concerned.
She closed her eyes, tears escaped out of her eyes and directly landed on his hand. He felt the piercing pain in his heart, seeing her tears. He became even more worried for her.
“Sweetheart, now you’re scaring me. What’s the matter?” He clasped her face and asked, wiping her tears. The next moment, she just hugged him tightly and he hugged her back, extremely worried for her. He kissed her head.
“Baby, first you have to make a promise to me.” She said as she is worried that he can go out of control after knowing the news.
“Say, what promise?” He asked and kissed her head again, caressing her hair.
“You have to promise me that after listening to this, you won’t overreact. You will listen to me and do whatever I say.” She smartly asked him to promise her.
“What type of promise is this, sweetheart? If I don’t listen to you, who will I listen to?” He said, gently rubbing her hair.
She implored, “Baby, please, promise me.”
“Okay, baba. I promise I’ll listen to you always. Now tell me what’s the matter?” He promised her and asked after breaking the hug.
She bent down and took out the crushed newspaper from the dustbin.
She slowly lifted her hand to give the newspaper to him, praying to God. “Please Ganu Ji, keep him calm.” He hastily snatched it from her hand and opened it. She closed her eyes, scared to see his reaction.
“Disappeared Rockstar is seen with his new slut.” He gritted his teeth, fuming in anger as he read the headline.
How could they call his wife, the love of his life a slut?
She slowly opened her eyes, still scared. She saw him crushing the paper, his brows knitted. It seems like he’s taking out his all anger on the paper.
“How dare they say that to you? I’ll not leave a damn person who is involved in this. I’ll kill each one of them.” He growled in fury.
She nodded her head, fresh tears streamed down her cheeks. She was frightened because of this only. As she had expected, it’s happening.
“Sidharth, you won’t do this.” She said in a stern tone after clasping his face and making him look into her eyes.
“Sweetheart, what rubbish they are saying about you. How could they? I’m sorry, somewhere it’s my mistake too. You’re my wife and nobody knows this.” He again started blaming himself and she is nodding her head constantly.
“No, baby, now please just don’t blame yourself.” She requested.
“No, it’s all my fault, Sana. Today those people are talking so dirty about you only because of me. I gave them a reason to say you this.” He stepped back, his eyes filled with guilt. She is crying silently. She didn’t expect that he would blame himself.
“Sidharth, what nonsense you’re saying? You’re saying anything. Now just stop blaming yourself for God sake. I really don’t like to see you in this condition. This was the only reason I was hiding this news from you. If anything goes wrong in our life, it’s not that it will be always your fault.” She tried to explain him again after cupping his face. Tears are rolling down their cheeks constantly. One is in guilt and the other one is in pain, seeing the condition of her husband.
“But this is my fault, Sana. I kept our marriage secret and this happened. I don’t know who bastard clicked our photos. I’ll kill him, Sana.” Sidharth roared in outrage, his blood-red eyes scorching in anger.
“You won’t do this. You promised me that you would listen to me. So you have to listen to me.” She stated in a stern tone.
He grasped her arms and asked in anger. “So what do you want me to do, Sana? Do you want me to sit idle and let them talk anything about my wife?” She squeezed her eyes shut and cried.
“No, Sana, no. I’m not like you. I’m not as good as you.” He left her arms and said, shaking his head.
As Sidharth marched to the door, she shouted, “Sidharth, please, stop. Where are you going?” She rushed behind him out of the mansion.
He opened the door of the car to sit down but stopped as she yelled, “Sidharth, you can’t break your promise like this. You have to listen to me.”
Now he is regretting that why he promised her without knowing anything. He can’t break his promise.
He walked to her and pleaded, holding her hands. “Sweetheart, please, let me go. I won’t get relief until I show those bastards their place. Today don’t stop me please.”
Both stayed silent for a few seconds and then he continued after clasping her face, “what people would be thinking about you after seeing this news?”
“Sidharth, I don’t care what people would be thinking about me because you’re my everything, you’re my world. And the only thing that matters to me is that what you think about me. You love me and you respect me a lot and I want nothing else.” She said every word from the core of her heart. He stared at her in shock and disbelief, thinking how can she always reacts so calmly and stands so strong. They wrote such a cheap article about her and still, there is no anger in her eyes for them.
“Sidharth, I know what they did is wrong. But if somebody does wrong, it doesn’t mean we will also do the same thing. If we also do the same thing, we’ll also become like them. Now you tell me, do you want to become like them.” She asked, making him speechless. Now he is just staring at her silently because what she said, it’s true.
“If you still think that it is right to beat them, you can go. Now I won’t stop you.” She said in a serious tone after leaving his face.
Now he is in dilemma what to do, should he go or not as he still wants to destroy all the people who are involved in this but how can he hurt his wife by doing this and what she said is also right. He doesn’t find anything wrong in her single word. But he also wants to punish those bastards for calling his wife, slut.
What do you think, what he’ll do?
