“Perfect!” I murmured to myself, looking at the decoration.
So, finally, after thinking for an hour, I decided that I’ll take my Shehnaaz on a romantic dinner date, where I’ll confess my feelings to her.
I mean, of course, I have confessed my feelings earlier but I didn’t say those three magical words yet. And now I don’t want to wait. I just can’t wait anymore.
That day, when I said “she’s my Queen”, I really mean it. I wanted to say so many things to her and I think it’s the right time.
Red roses, lightings, a perfect romantic set up for my perfect baby girl. I’m sure she’s going to love it.
I was literally grinning like a fool looking at the setup.
Her beautiful smile, her shining eyes, everything is flashing in front of my eyes. I can imagine her twirling in excitement here.
“Ahem ahem.” My thoughts are interrupted by not so sweet voice of my best friend Cabir Dhawan.
He can never let me be in peace!
What is he doing here?
“What are you doing here?” I asked being confused.
“Well, You were so excited to leave for Mumbai that you forget the phone in the meeting room itself. So I just came to give you this.” He said waving my phone in front of my eyes.
“And how did you come to know that I’m here?” I asked raising my eyebrows at him.
“I have my ways.” He smirked still waving my phone, grinning like a fool.
“Okay, thanks. Now go!” I said taking my phone back.
“Well, what are you doing here? All this set up? Did I miss something?” He asked raising his eyebrows.
He can never stop interfering!
“N-nothing,” I said, looking here and there, not meeting his eyes.
I don’t want to tell about my surprise to anyone before Shehnaaz.
“It doesn’t seem like nothing, cool don’t tell me, I will call Shehnaaz and ask her about this.”
“What? Stop irritating me, Cabir. And dare you to call Shehnaaz.” I said glaring at him.
“Wait, Are you cheating on her?” He said dramatically, cupping his cheeks with his palm.
Such a drama queen!
“Get a life, bro.”
“Okay, now I’m definitely gonna tell Shehnaaz. That you’re hiding something from us. Just wait and watch.” He said snatching my phone from my hand.
“No Cabir, you can’t tell Shehnaaz about this.” I literally shouted trying to get my phone back from his hand.
“But why? She should know what the fuck you’re doing behind her back.” He shouted too, again dramatically.
“For God sake, Cabir. You’re my best friend. So shut up and stop taking her name again and again.” I said, glaring at him, snatching my phone from his hand. Putting it into my pocket. While he raised his eyebrows. He will not leave until I’ll tell him.
“Okay fine, all this preparation is for her only. Now happy? I’m going to propose her.” I said giving up while he smirked.
“See, it’s so easy, to make you confess.”
“Very funny, now just get lost and now let me go too, Shehnaaz must be waiting for me.”
“So mean! I will tell Shehnaaz that she’s stealing my best friend.” He said in a totally dramatic tone while I shook my head in disbelief.
“Leave, Cabir, don’t irritate me,” I said checking the preparation last time.
“Well, You’re are whipped man.”
“Only, for her.” I grinned saying this making him chuckled.
This girl is literally making me crazy!
I’m so excited to see her, I just can’t wait to twirl her around by wrapping my arms around her waist, for hearing her melodious giggle.
My baby, my love.
I missed her so much.
Chucking my thoughts, I knocked on the door. My heart is racing fastly. I’m just so excited to take her on a surprise date. Staying one day without her was literally torture for me. I just can’t stay away from her.
“Shehnaaz.” I again knocked but no response.
I pushed the door open slightly and noticed it’s already open but what caught my attention is her devastated figure on the floor. Her quivering chin, her trembling lips, her red puffy eyes, her shaking shoulders.
What happened to her?
“Shehnaaz.” I spoke very softly, hearing my voice she just dashed to me and crashed into my arms, bursting into tears.
“Shehnaaz, what happened, baby?” I asked, rubbing her back to calm her down.
“Where were you, Sidharth?” She said, still crying in my arms.
“I d-do trus-trust you, Sidharth. I wanted to trust you and trust me, I don’t want to make any assumptions but I just… I don’t know how to-” She started blabbering something without even breaking the hug.
I couldn’t able to understand even a single word which she said because she was saying so fastly plus her crying state is not helping me either.
God! What happened to her?
I forcefully broke the hug and she stared at me with her sorrowful eyes, brimmed with tears.
“Shehnaaz, calm down baby.” I said after cupping her face softly, wiping her tears with my thumbs. She was staring into my eyes as if she was finding something.
“Tell me clearly what happened?” I asked softly and again tears rolled down her cheeks, seeing her tears literally my heart is aching. I’m feeling like someone is stabbing a knife into my heart.
“Shehnaaz. You’re my strong baby, right. And first of all, stop crying. It hurts to see you crying.” I again spoke softly wiping her eyes. While she took a deep breath feeling my touch.
“Baby.” I whispered tucking her hair behind her ears while she just again crashed down in my arms, hugging me tightly.
